Terms & Conditions
By placing an order with Katja’s Confections, you agree to be subjected to the terms and conditions as below. Please ensure you read these before placing your order to avoid conflicts.
Orders

At least 1 month notice for all orders, as we are continually booked in advance. We will however endeavor, where availability permits accept short notice cakes.

​Products referenced from a picture or photo produced by another cake maker, can only be reproduced by us as our interpretation of that product and will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product in the picture or photo.
Payments

Full payment is required within 3 days of quotation to confirm the order. No creation/order will be commenced unless full paymentis paid and received.

The accepted method of payment will be Direct Deposit.
Cancellations
-
For cancellations before 14 days of required date, full refund will be provided. However, for cancellations less than 14 days, no refund will be given.

Refunds will be paid within 14 days of cancellation.
Change of date
-
Please contact us through message immediately. The new proposed date will be subject to availability. Change of date request will only be considered up to 2 weeks prior to your original required date.
Change of design
-
Minor changes to the design will be accepted up to 2 weeks prior to your required date.

Any change to the original quote is subject to a quote review and viability of the changes requested.
Allergy

We will not be responsible for any allergy related issues.

All cakes may contain or come into contact with the following allergens: Dairy/Wheat/Nuts/Soy/Gluten and other potential allergens.

It is your responsibility to inform consumers of the cake of any risks that may be applicable to them.
Delivery/Pick up

Charges will be applied for delivery and will be subject to location.

If you or your representative elects to pick up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the handling of the cake once it leaves my possession. We take no responsibility for the damage afterward.
Storage and Responsibility

Katja’s Confections aims to provide detailed guidance on the best storage practices for your order. It is the responsibility of the customer to check the state of the product before leaving the premises. Please note that once a cake has been picked up by the client or their designated representative, or delivered to the client’s address or event space, we cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs thereafter. We recommend following our storage advice closely to maintain the quality and condition of your cake.
